Working in Our Homes

Person Centred Care

Residential care homes employ a variety of people to support the safe and compassionate running of the home. Roles can include Registered Manager, Care Manager, Senior Carers, Care Worker, Maintenance, Catering and Housekeeping.

We value our staff team, as having the right caring and supportive team, makes all the difference to our residents. We always love to hear from people that would like to work in our homes, and we always find a role for someone who is enthusiastic to work in a caring environment.

For all our roles we provide full training, staff induction, regular supervisions, and appraisals. We aim to support our staff team as we know a happy team makes a happy home.

In all our homes we put our residents at the heart of everything we do, if you think you can make a difference and have a passion to work in care, we would love to hear from you.

Day in the Life of a Carer

      Every Day is Different

We aim to support our residents to continue with the same routine, activities, hobbies and interests they would have enjoyed at home. It is our job to try and make daily living a little bit easier. This maybe by supporting with washing, dressing, laundry, toileting or at mealtimes.

By spending time with our residents, person centred care helps provide ongoing support with daily healthcare needs. We like to provide plenty of time so our residents can get to know our staff teams well and feel supported to remain as independent as possible.

Information we may need to support our residents is available through handheld devices for all our carers. We use the same device to share information to others and is logged by the carer at the point of care.

Daily activities are an important part of our day, and we encourage all our care team to participate in daily activities that they feel comfortable with. We enjoy playing games, listening to music and art and craft and daily exercise but we are always looking for new ideas.

No two days are ever the same and working in a care home is a stimulating job that gives every carer the opportunity to work with a diverse group of people. All our residents will have different reasons why they have joined our home from support with personal care, enjoying company to more complex medical conditions. We offer peace of mind knowing that care is on hand twenty-four hours a day.

Our most rewarding job of all is to make our residents happy and by being happy ourselves this goes a long way to supporting long term health and wellbeing.
